I guess for everyone wishing and hoping their property values would skyrocket if amazon hq2 came here is outta luck! Long Island city and Arlington are the picks. |

Arlington Virginia, to avoid confusion with Arlington Mass.

I think the biggest point of the HQ2 speculation earlier was that it would have been a large anchor that was especially resilient against recessions.

Yes, I agree with other guest that Boston will continue to grow in terms of jobs, and lots of start ups will continue to land here - however the influx of those jobs vs 50k Amazon hq2 isn’t quite comparable and it’s not going to cause the massive property value gain Amazon would have. That being said, I do believe amazon had already probably picked nyc and just turned that whole bidding system from cities into a way to get a massive tax break in NYC and DC - and it worked. |
